My Story

Anastacio was diagnosed July 29th "2008" with high risk ALL. He loves rodeos and wrestling. John Cena is his favorite. he got to meet him in January he was so happy. He loves playing with his sister and brothers and dreams of swimming with dolphins. He is such a strong boy and just goes with whatever he has to have done. It has been 19 month's since anastacio was diagnosed. he is still in treatment and will be till november of 2011. He get's chemo everyday a pill at home and 6 on thursday. and then once a month in the clinic he is given all his other chemos ,spinal taps and antibiotics. he has had alot of hospital stays since he was diagnosed anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. we just spent 12 days in the hospital right before christmas . we did not think we would be home for christmas but he was released 2 days before christmas. anastacio is still in remission and his treatment is going well. he has good days and bad days . some days you would never be able to tell he was sick. and sometimes all he does is cry. and others he will sleep for days at a time. But no matter how bad he feels he will always give you a smile and is always such a good boy about taking medicines and any procedures he has to have done. this tuesday feb 16th he will have a spinal tap he is sedated for it also chemo put into his spine and another chemo put into his port that causes horrible leg and hip pain sometimes the kids can barely walk a few days after they get it. and he will get his antibiotic put threw his port. He will be done for a few days after and its horrible to have to see your baby suffer but he will bounce right back and be up and playing with his sister and brothers. he is looking forward to seeing wrestling on the 19th i'm praying he will be able to go. and he is also wanting to see another chicago wolves game. so hopefully all goes smooth at his next appointment. also on the 27th anastacio has been asked to be the honary child for a st baldricks event. thank you so much melissa and tracy he is so excited. fire trucks and a 5 year old who would not be excited..
