Elizabeth approaches her treatment with her natural good humor. She loves to work on art projects, play with her toy animals, practice violin, compose music and plays, and choreograph dances, and most times, she appears to have an inexhaustible supply of energy. She thinks school work and math problems are fun, and is fascinated with the outdoors and all manner of animals. Her descriptive posters adorn the walls of our house and the clinic.
Treatment at the clinic is another opportunity to paint and draw and to to play games with the other kids. During her stays in the hospital, we became Spongebob fans, and she displays an uncanny ability to recite large tracts of dialogue and lyrics. We are so grateful to the staff at both Dell Children's and 'Specially for Children; the doctors, nurses, clinical staff and therapists have worked so hard to save and cure our daughter.
