Our pink princess was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in December 2008. She began treatment in January 2009. Ashley has been very brave as we learn about the new normal our lives have become. She teaches us to see the positive and brings us such joy during some of the most difficult times our family has faced. When her hair fell out because of her chemo treatments, she was delighted. This meant that her longed for pink wig would not be far off. Ashley is the oldest of our four girls and we are so proud of her strength and her courage.
Ashley has completed her treatments and at this time her scans show her to be cancer-free! She will continue to have regular scans to monitor her status. We are so grateful to her doctors and all the staff at Golisano Children's Hospital for taking such great care of our precious princess. We have relocated to Texas and Ashley is now continuing her follow-up care at Texas Children's Hospital.
