Today, Anneke is a happy, carefree, 15 year old who loves her dog Frank and Brody playing her DS and with friends, she loves swimming in our pool and playing soccer.
She loves to annoy her brother Austin who was her donor when he was only 9,my hero.
She was our second daughter to have been diagnosed with this disease, and being the genetic type of the disease we were told that it is 100% fatal, that wasn't very encouraging.Never the less the doctors treated her with some newer treatments.Having gone through this once before really didn't make any easier, but in a way it was.Having had a case history helped. She had to go through several rounds of chemo and everything else associated with a transplant.
In the three year span from when her sister Whitney was treated to the time Anneke was we could see definite improvements in the treatments and that gave us a lot of HOPE.
We are thankful for the 7+ years now of TODAY S we have had with her, we take 1 day at a time, and try to enjoy what we have to the fullest.
Please donate today even if it's $1, and give someone else the HOPE for tomorrow......Together we can make a difference.
Thank you
