My Story

Lucas was diagnosed with leukemia on October 17, 2008. For Lucas' parents was hard to find out his son had leukemia, but at all the time they have put their trust in God . Lucas was a healthy child, he didn't look sick at all, but the test result were showing something different. The first 3 days the doctors at Kaiser were checking his blood to see what type of leukemia he had, he had been poked many times, but he was so brave that he didn't cried until probably the last 3 times, all this has been hard for Lucas' family. Finally on the 19 they had the exact type of leukemia and is ALL type T. It was the next Monday, when doctors did a surgery to place a center line on his chest, which was good because they didn't have to poke him anymore, now everything is done thru the Broviac. Doctors had checked his bone marrow to see how much leukemia was there. the results said that 90% of his bone marrow had leukemia, so they decided that Lucas needed to start with his chemo. Lucas is under chemotherapy, and his family is supporting him all the time. Lucas Family know that God is with them and also that prayers are powerful. They will continue with what the doctors ask them to do, but knowing that God is with them all the time. Thank you all for your support it means so much to Lucas Family and families that have kids with cancer!!!
