My Story
Sophia was born on July 10, 2003, completing our family of 5. On March 24, 2006, our world was shattered. An MRI revealed a tumor deep in Sophia's pelvis. It was diagnosed as pPNET, a tumor in the Ewing's Family of Sarcomas. Sophia fought hard for the next year...always with a smile on her face, and laughter in her heart.
Sophia loved going to school and seeing her friends, but above all, she loved spending time with her big sister and brother -- as she called them "my Jordyn" and "my Sammy". She was a master at Pretty Pretty Princess and her favorite movie was "Mary Poppins" There was nothing more beautiful than hearing her sing "A Spoonful of Sugar".
Sophia lost her battle on April 4, 2007. She was tiny in stature, but her presence was huge. Her sharp sense of humor and contagious giggle will be missed forever.
