My Story
William never showed any red flags that would have tipped us off to him having cancer except for the day we found a lump under his right rib cage. His tumor had ruptured and bled out leaving him with a hematocrit of 4 after being life-flighted to P/SL Hospital. After saving his life the doctors determined he had Neuroblastoma which is a cancer that originates from the sympathetic nervous system. We then started life with cancer treatments.
You do not want your child to be ill but nor would we want to change the life we have had. The goodness in people is ever-present and amazing. William is now 6 years old and loves visiting his doctors and hospital. He and his brothers have grown up there and he has many friends he loves. To all those friends and families this is for you. And... thank you to everybody who helped support us.
William is super independent and awnry. He loves Tranformers, drawing & art, Thomas the Train, and helping!
He is doing great!
