My Story
Maddy was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a brain tumor, when she was 3 years old. Her tumor was 100% resected at Children's Hospital of Iowa. She completed 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy at UIHC, and 1 year of additional chemotherapy at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Through all of her treatment's, Maddy has shown us all how to be strong and brave. Her smile and laughter is contagious!
Maddy is a very happy and active little girl, and enjoys sports, reading, and playing with her brother and friends. And while her immediate battle is completed, she will continue to adjust to living life with many long-term side effects.
The love, prayers and support surrounding Maddy help us through each day!
