Danny Kastros was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in 1993 at age two. He fought a tremendous, courageous battle, which included every type of treatment available and a year of isolation. On Thanksgiving of 1999 Danny was deemed to be cancer-free.
In July of 2005 it was discovered the treatments Danny had gone through had long term effects, which surfaced at this time. He again fought a valiant battle, but the damage to his organs was too great. Danny died on August 2, 2005, at age 14, leaving behind a legacy of courage and life lessons.
Danny's star burned bright and fast, but his life was full with parents and a family who loved him deeply. He loved Disneyland, the US Air Force Thunderbirds and his free spirit, and experienced them many times.
He has inspired those he touched to try and follow his examples of always being happy and living each day to the fullest, treating it as a special gift.
