My Story
Carter Wise is the son of Senator Max Wise and Dr. Heather Wise and grandson of Event Organizer Donna Wise. He was diagnosed on October 16, 2007 with Stage IV neuroblastoma at 6 months of age. Carter underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy and numerous surgeries at Kosair Children's Hospital & Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His last chemo treatment was July 2008. Carter had liver surgery in May of 2009 in Philadelphia to remove the remaining neuroblastoma. He was declared "disease free" after scans in September 2009. Carter, like many other children with cancer, has fought to overcome the obstacles cancer places in their way. They continue to be an inspiration to family , friends, and strangers throughout their community, state, nationally and even internationally.
Watching Carter play baseball, basketball & golf is a long step from his diagnosis at KOSAIR Children's to the sport fields of Campbellsville.
Come out Saturday, March 18th from 11-1 to support our efforts to allow other kids the same opportunity.
