Vanessa is a senior in high school taking AP Biology and AP Statistics and plans to apply to a long list of colleges this Fall. She volunteers at a local elementary school and helps students with homework. She has a letter in Cross Country (Varsity women's team) and is a member of the Inferno Dance Team which she will be performing with in the winter. She really loves to run and dance. This year she is celebrating being 10 years cancer FREE by fundraising and running in a 1/2 marathon to bring awareness to blood cancer as an active honoree for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Vanessa loves to eat Mexican food, Chinese food and pasta as well as chocolate. She's been asked by UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital - Oakland to be their "poster child" for the local "Lace Up for Cancer" fundraiser for our hospital. She would also like to spear-head a campaign at her school to help raise money for cancer research by sponsoring a youth talent show featuring cancer survivors.
