My Story

Dominic has battled Neuroblastoma 3x. He was diagnosed at the age of 15 months. He had a golfball sized tumor in his chest. He had a surgery to remove it and was given a 95% chance that his cancer would never return. Unfortunately, just three months later, his cancer came back. It spread to his chest and on his heart. He had a second surgery followed by four inpatient hospitalizations for chemotherapy. He was no evidence of disease for almost 2 years, and then he relapsed for a second time. He received chemotherapy and immunotherapy but it was not working to kill the third tumor that went into his spine. We then traveled to New York City where 2 surgeons worked together to remove the third tumor from his spine. He is followed very closely as his third tumor changed genetically making him prone to additional relapses. Thankfully, he is about to hit 5 years cancer free! We are so blessed to have our sweet, lovable 8 year old here with us today.
