My Story

Lamar’s story is one of remarkable courage and love. Diagnosed with leukemia in 2022, she faced her battle with an incredible spirit that continues to inspire all who hear about her journey. Though we lost her in March 2023, her memory lives on, driving us to raise awareness about childhood cancer and support other families navigating this challenging path. Sharing Lamar’s story provides a heartfelt opportunity to honor her legacy while shining a light on the resilience of children and families affected by childhood cancer. In her memory, Lamar memorial fundraising campaign was launched as a gift for her 15th birthday, dedicated to supporting the search for a cure. On her 16th birthday, the Lamar Voluntary Team was established to champion awareness, inspire hope, and strive for a brighter future for every child battling cancer, while emphasizing the importance of mental well-being for children and their families - a cause Lamar deeply believed in. Together, we transform profound loss into unwavering strength and turn hope into meaningful action.
