Kian was a crazy energetic 2 year old boy, who loved trying to be just like his big brother.
Spring 2023 Kian suffered from two weeks of tummy pains and daily fevers. He was admitted to McMaster hospital on June 5th and went through multiple test and scans. Then on June 9th he was diagnosed with B- Cell ALL, a type of Leukaemia.
He started treatment two day later at McMaster Children’s Hospital. He ended up getting an infected blood marrow site, becoming severely neutropenic, and developing a lesion on his face.
After a month and half in hospital he was finally discharged home.
Kian is currently in the third cycle of maintenance and is doing well.
He has had multiple hospital admissions for blood transfusions, infections and other common side effects.
Through it all, Kian has never lost his spark for life, and never stopped being a crazy little brother trying to keep up with his big brothers. He continues to fight and prove how resilient and tough children are.
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
