My Story

Joey was taken from us by cancer on June 2nd 2007. Initially diagnosed in August of '05, he fought his disease with courage and grace. While he was in remission maintenance over the Summer of 2006, he was as rambunctious as any boy his age, and exhibited few signs of his ongoing illness. Joey was a very creative, energetic, and profoundly thoughtful young man. Even while in the hospital, he worried about his family and friends before himself. Joey touched more lives than he knew, and continues to inspire after his death. He will always be my hero. I love you, Joey
