My Story

Reyna was diagnosed at 18 months old with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was a healthy baby until one day she had a fever, and then continued not to eat for three days, and became pale. We took her to the ER, where they said fluids might make her better, but we could run tests anyway. An abnormal white blood cell came back in a blood test, and they told us the possibility of cancer. The next three days were long, since it was the weekend, we were admitted and waited for a diagnosis. Cancer was the last thing we ever would have expected. Reyna has taken everything with such a fierce attitude and has not let it get her down. She is a bright light that shines in the darkest of times. She is a true inspiration to everyone around her. She will be on treatment until December 2025. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
