Radien is a 3 year old with a KIF5B-ALK fusion histocytic tumor of the central nervous system. He was diagnosed one month after turning two years old. He has endured one craniotomy, a tracheostomy, ECMO, and oral chemotherapy. With too many days in the hospital to keep count now. Radien’s most recent scan showed stability in his tumor and will continue to have scans every 3 months to monitor size. He now requires a tracheostomy and ventilator support when sleeping.
