My Story

Gunnar John Ragnar Haseltine, only three years old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Feb 23, 2024 shortly after Gunnar & his mother were life-flighted to Sanford Children's Oncology in Fargo, ND.

Gunnar was experiencing foot pain, flu like symptoms & signs of jaundice when his mother brought him in to urgent care. After arriving in ND from MN, Gunnar began immediately around the clock care to save his life.

Gunnar spent the first week in the ICU & then was positioned near to the hospital at the RMDH for the next three weeks to fight for his life. At the end of that grueling month, Gunnar thankfully went into remission after his final bone marrow biopsy. He must now undergo two + years of chemotherapy. Gunnar is currently in the most intense part of treatment & we would all love your prayers.

Gunnar loves mommy & daddy, his Doberman Disa, his “babas & papas” (grandma & grandpa) he loves to swim, go on adventures in the woods, his favorite holiday is Halloween & Gunnar collects monsters & small metal super-hero figurines. Gunnar loves Jesus, bike riding, his best friend Kash, playing pranks on people & he hopes someday to be a police officer. Gunnar is clever, compassionate, affectionate & brilliant.

He’s the light of our life.
