My Story

Kataleya was 2 years old when her Arm pain came I didn’t think to much of it because I thought it was her growing up her pain had left by the time she had just turned 3 her arm pain came back this time I took her to her pediatric to see what was going on Dr prescribed Tylenol it helped for sometime. Fast forward it’s December 2022 the pain was on and off I just didn’t get it . I would still see her playing with full of energy I didn’t know what was going on and her Dr wouldn’t tell me anything he would say it was arm growth . The ending of January 2023 kataleya arm was stiff as a rock she couldn’t move it at all I took her back to the dr he sent out a referral to see a Neurologist on March 22 23. It’s February I’m just waiting and giving my daughter Tylenol but it’s. It helping anymore by this time it’s feb 28 ,2023 I rushed to the E.R 5:3 am because she was crying I couldn’t wait any longer . They kept us for about 4 weeks at the hospital they did ultrasound, x rays , CT , MRI . Last one was a biopsy waiting for her for her diagnosis until March 8 came and said my 3 year old had “Ewing sarcoma cancer” it was the worst news of my life.. fast forward kataleya got her 1st chemo on March 17 by June the tumor has shrieked 50% on July 31st kataleya had a major surgery of 16 hours remove tumor And reconstruct everything back since they took her fibula bone from her right leg to put it in her arm. On February 26 2024 kataleya received her last chemo and on March 1 2024 she rang the bell. It’s April 6 2024 kataleya has been feeling Good. Her hair is coming back . Her appetite coming back she’s full of energy and life . Kataleya inspires me and she has inspired so many people to never Ever give up.
