My Story
When Tristan was just 5 years old he started getting headaches at school. It then progressed into throwing up, being incredibly tired and seeing lights. The local doctors could not figure out what could be plaguing him and were told it was most likely a sinus infection, cold or bad eye sight. After finally seeing an eye doctor, we were told he had a lot of pressure in his head. We could tell the eye doctor was very worried and insisted we get an emergency MRI. The next thing we know Tristan and mom are being flown from Alaska to Seattle for an emergency tumor removal surgery. Our family was split for 6 months. Tristan and mom in seattle to do intense therapy and chemo, dad and sis in alaska to hold down the fort. After chemo Tristan remained cancer free for over a year. In Oct 2023 we got the horrible news that his cancer came back into 4 new small spots. Tristan went back down to Seattle to do 6 weeks of radiation with mom & sis this time. He is now back home in alaska with his whole family to heal and prepare for a year of light chemo to keep the cancer at bay.
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
