On January 7th we received the heartbreaking news that our sweet 3 year old Emma was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) and was also in acute kidney failure. With the guidance of all the doctors and team at CHLA she was immediately placed on dialysis and had her first round of chemotherapy within 24 hours of diagnosis. After a week in the hospital Emma was released to only suffer a seizure 8 hours after being home. She was rushed back to the hospital and was diagnosed with PRES syndrome which is caused by a combo of affects of chemotherapy and medication she has to take.
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
