My Story
Isabelle had been feeling sick for quite sometime. We had brought her to doctor after doctor, emergency room visits, urgent cares, and we were always sent home without any answers. It wasn’t until her sickness progressed to constant fevers, and constant vomiting along with her 10th blood test showing she had neutropenia (low white blood cells) that a doctor finally looked at me and said, “ If she were my child I would not wait, I would drive her to Children’s National Hospital immediately. So we drove 2 1/2 hours to Children’s National Hospital. From the ER we were admitted into the hospital on 10/9/23. After countless test of everything under the sun , A CT scan, and a biopsy of a lymph node, we were told on 10/20/23 That Isabelle has ALK Negative Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. She is the strongest person I know and such a fighter. God has worked so many miracles on this journey already. She was sedated for almost a month in a half, after a bad reaction to chemo. Against all odds we are leaving the ICU today which is a huge victory! God is good and Belle is going to beat this! ?
