My Story

Knowing Evan was a privilege, but for such a short time. He was so caring of others, and so sympathetic of those sharing life in the hospital with him. He was an expert at GameBoy and Nintendo, read so well, and always had a silly joke to tell. He got along very well with his cousins, who he loved, and with his friends at Friends School, especially his little girlfriend, Emily. He just packed a lot of love in 6 short years, and had a special relationship with his Lila. I wish he could know his adopted brother and sister, Sergey and Allysa, who show us so much of Evan's good and loving nature, and that he didn't have to spend a third of his life in treatment. Evan would be 18 today. Thanks to St. Baldrick's for keeping his memory alive.
