John & Dean are identical twins who were both diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia just 37 days apart in October and November 2019 at 2 years old. Together they endured chemotherapy, infusions, countless pokes, and a number of side effects that ranged from having to learn to walk again to gastrointestinal issues from chemo and osteopenia from steroids. Now at 6 years old, the “Twincredibles” are in remission, off treatment, and loving the first grade! Having two kids with cancer was a nightmare come true, but our care team did everything they could to make it easier for us to manage and we are forever grateful to their care team at UC Davis for all that they did for us and for their new care team at Phoenix Children’s for continuing to make it easy to manage their off treatment care.
