My Story
Peter was only 5 years old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had surgery to remove the tumor followed by chemotherapy and radiation. He completed his treatment in September 2004. We were disappointed and saddened when Peter had a recurrence in the beginning of 2006. Once again, we headed back to the hospital for additional treatment. This time the treatment would be more aggressive including high dose chemotherapy with a stem cell transplant and more radiation.
Peter is currently in remission and maintains a normal, active lifestyle. He enjoys playing baseball, soccer and video games as well as riding his bike and spending time with Hope, his 1 year old Boston Terrier. Peter has a younger sister named Sara, lots of cousins and a ton of friends and supporters in our home town of Harrison. We are all truly blessed for having Peter in our lives.
UPDATE - April 2009 - Peter is doing great and just celebrated his 11th birthday. Thank you to all for your support, hard work and generosity for this cause.
