My Story

My initial diagnosis of Osteosarcoma was in June of 2017, right as i finished 6th grade. I had 8 months of chemotherapy with a surgery in the middle to resect the section of my femur that held the tumor. Over the next five years, I had multiple surgeries to save my leg; surgeries as minor as a bone graft and as major as another femur resection. In April of 2023, I was about to have my third femur resection when a huge bone tumor showed up on my scans. I was told that nothing more could be done to save my leg and that amputation was necessary to keep me alive. My leg was amputated from the hip and I started chemo again. Currently, I’m waiting to be healed enough for prosthetic fitting and eager to go to college this winter! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
