My Story
Sarah is a beautiful sweet loving 8 year old girl. She was diagnosed with an inoperable spinal cord tumor a few weeks after her birth. The tumor affects the function of her bladder and could have potentially lead to an inability for her to walk then eventually the worse you can imagine. We were told " Take her home and make her comfortable, hospice will be there when needed". As heart broken as we were we knew this was unacceptable and we had to reach out to other hospitals for treatment to save Sarah.
Sarah was treated at St. Jude Children's Hospital. At St Judes we were given hope that we could possibly beat this cancer. At 2 months old in Memphis , Tennessee, Sarah began her battle. She endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy over 15 months. The chemotherapy shrank her tumor and put the cancer in remission.
Sarah still has bladder issues but today she can walk , she can run and she is Living Life!
Thank you for supporting Sarah and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
