Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
Vaughn is a very active kid who really enjoys biking and skiing. Over the fall he started to have little problems that gradually turned into bigger problems and less activity. He had kidney and bone problems, which we learned on December 28th were caused by pre-B ALL, to our great shock. His sister, Collette, was just about to have the 4th anniversary of her diagnosis with the same disease.
Leukemia has few genetic markers and doesn't typically run in families, so their mutual condition will be researched through genetic testing. Part of their care and treatments have been funded by St. Baldrick's. We are so glad to be able to support care and prevention of cancer in kids.
