My Story

Julya is now 20 years old and last fall celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the end of her Chemo treatment!!!  Julya graduated from River Valley HS with honors and accepted the President's Scholarship at Ohio Northern University where she is on track to graduate in 4 years with a Master's Degree in Forensic Accounting.  When she was 15, Julya founded and runs her own business "Cakes by Julya", where she specializes in cakes and cake balls for all occasions.  Last fall, Julya was awarded the FFA American Degree (see picture) and Julya continues to educate and raise awareness of Childhood Cancers.  Julya would like to thank all the St. Baldrick's participants who give of their hair for this wonderful project. "Thank you for honoring me and all the pediatric cancer patients who will benefit from your unselfish participation in this event." Her message to all is..."no matter how much you donate be it a dollar or be it a hundred, it is important we all join together to fight this terrible disease. With the help of St Baldricks and its wonderful shavees and volunteers, we will conquer kids cancer in our lifetime"
