My name is Maxson - I'm 13 years old and in the 7th grade. I'm from Louisville, KY and I **LOVE** baseball, snow skiing with my Dad, playing video games with my friends, watching college sports and hanging with my family at the lake. I am a huge fan of the Louisville Cardinals, the LA Dodgers, the Cincinnati Reds and the Baltimore Ravens! I learned I had a brain tumor after I went to the eye doctor for a routine eye exam thinking I needed glasses. The next day I had an MRI and the following morning, I was in brain surgery. Crazy ride, huh? Since September of last year, I've been receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children's and they're taking great care of me. This summer I hope to take a trip to California with my family to watch my favorite baseball team - the LA Dodgers - and see my favorite baseball player, Will Smith. He's a catcher just like me. I'm looking forward to life returning to a bit more normal, and hopefully soon. I should finish chemotherapy in June 2024 and hope to ring the bell this summer. You can follow my journey on the Facebook page - Thumbs Up for Team Max. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with St. Baldrick's, you're supporting research to give me and other kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Thank you from #TeamMax for all your support!
