Maxwell is the youngest sibling of 4 kids. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Grade B-cell Double hit Lymphoma cancer 0n November 18, 2024. As many parents know when we received this devastating news, our world was forever changed. We had to be transparent with Maxwell and let him know the news. We were holding back the tears and staying as strong as we could while we talked with him about it. He said he understood that he had cancer and that he would kick cancer's butt and let everyone know he did. Maxwell had to proceed with Systemic chemo and intrathecal chemo right away because his cancer was very rare as a double hit, very aggressive because it had spread all over his body. We knew as parents we had no choice but to give him a chance to fight for his life. His intense chemo requires him to be hospitalized for 3-4 weeks at a time. He has had many ups and downs, some scary situations that have occurred as a result of chemo side effects and being severely neutropenic for weeks. However, through all of these hardships, Maxwell has been a fighter and pushes through each day with bravery and strength. As his parents, it gives us the drive to make sure we can always offer him the utmost support, unconditional love, and our will to fight through this together. We are very grateful for anyone who thinks of him and wants to help towards this cause to not only help him but other children who are up against the biggest fight of their lives.
