My Story

Max is a sweet, energetic, goofy, creative, smart, and cutely moody almost five-year-old boy from Tustin, CA. Like most kids he loves superheroes, Star Wars, vehicles, transformers, planets, baseball, books, video games, the iPad, and chasing his little sister all over the place. Unlike many kids, he also loves brains, blood cells, superfood and beating the bad guys in his head. Max loves to make jokes, cracking himself up. He's a joy -- he's our light! Max was diagnosed with a tumor of the brain stem August 5, 2011. After partial resection of the tumor, max started chemo in late-August 2011. He's in treatment at Children's Hospital of Orange County and spends most of his week in physical, occupational, and speech therapies, among others.
