Kendrik Julianne Wright was born January 9, 2004. She loved school. She loved reading and being outside. Pacific City, Oregon was her favorite place to be. Her family visited there every summer. She loved rainbows, glitter, and all things girly. Pink and blue were her favorite colors. Her best friends were Emma C, Emily, Kaitlynn and her cousin Emma. She loved cheerleading and participated in Pop Warner Cheer. She was perfectly healthy until April 16th, 2012. She came home from school and her right hand was really weak. A couple hours later she started limping. Her parents took her into the doctor and from there she was sent to Oakland. Kendrik was diagnosed on the 19th of April with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) It is one of the rarest and deadliest children's cancer. Only around 200 cases worldwide every year. It's actually a brain tumor that forms around the brainstem. It is inoperable and starts to cut off the nerves to all vital functions. Kendrik was given anywhere from 6-18 months to live. She only made it 3 weeks. Kendrik passed away on May 11, 2012. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
