My Story

Jaxon is a fighter, my hero, and a survivor! He was diagnosed in July 2007 (at 2 1/2 years old) with metastatic stage 4 hepatoblastoma that had spread to his lungs. After twelve rounds of chemotherapy the tumors had resolved in his lungs, and then he was ready for his liver transplant. On February 4, 2008 he received his first liver transplant and on February 22, 2008 he had to receive a second one as the first one failed. He was in the pediatric ICU for several months on a ventilator and had to undergo dialysis. Jaxon has profound hearing loss, chronic kidney disease, narcolepsy and learning delays from the chemo, but Jaxon is a rascal. He is most likely to be found wrestling with his brother, playing Minecraft, or having adventures with his dog. He is just a little guy, but his spirit is BIG and he is amazing and my miracle! Thank you for supporting our mission so that no other parent will hear the words, "your child has cancer!"
