My Story

Our sweet Emma was diagnosed in 2014. She underwent spinal fusion, chordoma resection, IMRT and proton radiation that same year. In January of 2017 another growth was found on her MRI. Emma passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her parents, Edward and April, and her two dogs, Roscoe and Alice on March 14th, 2018. Emma was born September 15, 2003. For fourteen years she filled the world around her with sunshine and laughter. Emma was an avid reader, and she loved to eat. She enjoyed drawing, visiting the zoo, going to the movies, collecting rocks, and hiking in the woods. Emma had a passion for animals; she could often be found rescuing worms and frogs from the sidewalk and feeding the birds and bunnies in the garden. Emma touched so many lives and she was adored by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
