Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. I know so many of us have been touched by cancer and are looking for ways to give to the fight. The reality is that it's not just a physical and emotional battle, but also a financial one. My two and a half year old niece Ella has been diagnosed with a Wilms' tumor (nephroblastoma) and will need chemotherapy, tumor and kidney removal, and post surgery chemo and radiation therapy. My sister in law will be taking 6 to 9 months off of work to care for her daughter during treatment while also caring for their newborn son. Please consider donating to Ella’s GoFundMe as she begins her fight against cancer. As you also know I have been a St Baldricks participant for 10 years now, raising thousands of dollars in hopes to help find a cure for kids cancer, whatever it might be.
In all these years I hoped it would never hit this close to home. But the unfortunate reality is that it has. I cannot imagine how hard this will be for Ella, her newborn brother Connor, and their loving parents Kurtis and Shannon. Attached is a link to the Gofundme page set up for them, please feel free to help as much as possible. If there is anything else you would like to be able to donate outside please let me know. She will also be accepting all the Peppa Pig toys you can find! That is her new thing! She will be losing all of her hair through chemo, so St Baldrick's is definitely a way to help get involved as well. I will be setting up a page to honor her and I hope to see some of you join us in the event to help raise money and awareness for all children and families affected. Love you little miss Ella!! https://www.gofundme.com/f/aukzm-ella-strong?utm_campaign=p_lico+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer
