My Story

Hi! You can call me Charlie! I’m three years old, and am a super happy, rambunctious, silly, AWESOME kid! In January of this year, our lives were tipped upside down when I was diagnosed with Leukemia. Because of my age, and how many cancer cells I had in my body, (WBC was 113,000!!) I am considered high risk. That just means I’m at a higher risk than other kids for an infection. I got to go home briefly during my first month of treatment but am now hospitalized until I finish this phase, because I have an infection where some cells went into my blood stream. (YIKES!) So in order to keep me safe, I have to be here. While I know I can kick cancers butt, I will be in treatment for THREE YEARS at least! Welcome to my page, thanks for checkin’ it out! Thank you for supporting me and to more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
