My Story
Wes was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma on June 24, 2011 at the age of 5 1/2 after being misdiagnosed with constipation. After extensive harsh treatment was done Wes' battle began yet again after his family had been informed by his doctor at MSKCC that he had relapsed on 2/4/14 after being No Evidence of Disease for 23 months. He began more chemotherapy, surgery, and antibody treatment. Wes relapsed a total of 5 times and became fully dependent on clinical trials, many of which were directly funded by St. Baldrick’s, up until his passing on November 3, 2018.
