My Story

Update as of 2/22/2020:

Dalton is a two time survivor of Ewing Sarcoma. Two years ago Ewing Sarcoma reared its ugly head for the first time. Dalton endured 10 months of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, neutropenic fevers that required hospitalizations and a limb salvage surgery. In April 2019 Team Dalton celebrated with a No More Chemo Party because Dalton had made it three months NED. Well on June 14, 2019 Ewing Sarcoma was found in the soft tissue of the SAME area of the SAME leg! Relapse Ewing Sarcoma doesn't have a road map or protocol of treatment. The best treatment plan was to start chemotherapy, pray that it worked and to have an above the knee amputation. Dalton was declared NED for the second time in January 2020 and is learning to walk and run with his prosthetic leg.

Update as of 5/26/2021:

Dalton passed away peacefully in May 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Our kids deserve so much better than this!! Thank you for joining us to help doctors and researchers find a cure for Ewing Sarcoma and all pediatric cancers.
