My Story

Lila is 14 years old and was diagnosed on 9/18/2023 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has been a fighter her whole life as she had a stroke in utero before she was born and has grown up non-verbal, strictly g-tube fed and formally diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Dystonia, Scoliosis and many more diagnoses.Currently, Lila is in her 2nd phase on a 28-day treatment of Blincyto. After her induction phase the oncologists sat her parents down and explained that the normal process of chemotherapy treatments would not be the path Lila is able to go down due to her fragile body and other conditions. We are hopeful that the Blincyto will be successful for Lila that her body will be able to withstand treatment. For now we continue to pray and love her hard like we always have.  Thank you for supporting Lila and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
