Erik was a healthy, fun-loving kid almost every day of his 13 yr, 3 month life. Even a diagnosis of cancer couldn't bring him down. He became more resolved to live every day to the fullest and the last two years of his life were good ones. His strength and sense of humor helped him make it through almost all of his treatments. Unfortunately, just as he was on the downhill side of his second, and only successful, bone marrow transplant, he suffered a massive intracerebral hemorrhage.
Erik was a great athlete and good student who loved family, friends and animals and was generous to a fault. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. We miss him terribly, but know that his love and laughter live on through us.
