My Story

Thanks to your contributions to organizations like the St. Baldrick's Foundation, Cora is able to get the best possible care by the experts that depend on research grants to develop the treatments that will help Cora Jeane and kids like her survive.

Cora began to have feeding difficulties around 4 months old and continued to struggle to eat and gain weight for months. At 8 months old she was admitted to the hospital for over a month. In August of 2023 she was diagnosed with a large inoperable brain tumor. She endured 2 brain surgeries and began chemotherapy in September 2023. Cora received 42 rounds of chemo over 13 months and rang the victory bell in October 2024. Her tumors have remained stable and she will continue surveillance with her oncology team. Despite the many complications, developmental delays, and harsh chemotherapy Cora has proved over and over that she is a fighter, but her journey is also a testament to how badly children need safer and more effective treatment options.

Federal funds for cancer research provides less than 4% of its budget to childhood cancer. That’s why organizations like St. Baldricks have been a true catalyst in progress towards new therapies for kids like Cora. Your donations make a real impact and mean so much to families like ours.
