We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

When kids with cancer are declared cancer-free, their journey is far from over. Survivorship is a long and challenging road. Children pay a high price for becoming cancer-free. The treatments that save their lives can lead to heart disease, hearing loss, infertility, cognitive issues, secondary cancers, and more—plus the immense mental and emotional toll. Take Chase, for example. Diagnosed with a brain tumor at just two years old, his treatment caused permanent hearing and hair loss, along with numerous physical and mental challenges. His parents were told he had no evidence of disease, only to face a secondary cancer diagnosis six years later. Today, Chase awaits the results of a skin biopsy, fearing yet another battle with cancer as a consequence of radiation treatment. Chase's mom, Ellie, reflects on their experience: “The survivor’s road is a unique one because it’s a slightly different path for every single person who travels it. However, the last decade of Chase’s life has borne witness to the single unifying reality that on this road, there is almost never such a thing as complete healing.” Kids deserve better than to merely survive—they deserve to thrive. YOU can make that possible for children with cancer by supporting research to find better treatments. Donate now and help transform the future for childhood cancer survivors. Your support can lead to breakthroughs that ensure these children don't just survive but live full, healthy lives. Together, we can turn survival into thriving.
