Hello again! I'm continuing my fundraiser this summer, and really as long as the donation link remains active, so that I can continue helping St Baldrick's work for a cure!
There is a Facebook challenge to do 50 miles in June. Well, as of June 14, I am at 29.3 miles. About halfway through the month, and about halfway through the challenge.
I invite you to continue to watch my life and journey on my blog: http://biblio-sphere.blogspot.com/. Thanks for your help in fighting childhood cancer!
Great news! I completed my 25 miles on February 18! I actually walk more than that daily, but I only counted going on actual walks for this. I will continue to walk, and I hope that you continue to follow my journey in fighting childhood cancer.
I completed February with 40 miles walked. I'm proud to have gotten this many in a very dreary and cold month. While I didn't meet my fundraising goal, there's still time! This fundraiser will be live for the whole year, so you can continue to support childhood cancer research.
Also, shoutout to my dad and grandpa for shaving at a St Baldricks in Wisconsin this March.Update as of 2/24: 34 miles walked.
As of February 10, I am halfway to my goal of 25 miles. I am excited to be sharing this milestone. Will you help me reach my halfway fundraiser milestone by donating today?Did you know that there is a 1 in 285 chance that a child will be diagnosed with cancer before they turn 20? In 2006, my family's life was turned upside down with my little brother's diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma. I was 12, old enough to Google up the survival rates, a scary number staring me in the face. But after about a year of treatment, Nolan was in remission, and has been ever since. My family was lucky. Many others were not so lucky, which is why I am fundraising for a change. Childhood cancer warriors deserves not just treatments designed for adults and retrofitted to children, but treatments designed with the needs of children in mind. St Baldrick's is helping that become a reality. This fundraiser is supporting childhood cancer research. In its 25th year of raising funds, St. Baldrick’s supports the best research across the U.S. and beyond. St. Baldrick's is fundraising on Facebook in February, but I wanted this to be bigger. Because childhood cancer is bigger than a Facebook post.Did you know that every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world? And in the U.S., 1 in 5 will not survive. These kids need our help.Your donation is a great investment in hope for kids with cancer. It will drive groundbreaking research to transform the lives of children and their families for generations to come.Thank you for helping me reach my goal and joining the effort to Conquer Kids’ Cancer! Thank you for your donation, kind words, and support of ending childhood cancer.
