I am dedicating a special nature photo exhibition to honor the memory of my patient "Superman" Sam Sommer, z"l. Sam fought a courageous 18 months battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which he lost in December 2013. I wanted to put my efforts into a project that would keep Sam's spirit alive while simultaneously raising funds for Pediatric Cancer Research. Sam was a smart and rambunctious 8 year old who loved nature. He had a particular interest in turtles and frogs. As a nature photographer, I also have a passion for the outdoors. This summer, in July and August, an exhibition of my photographs will be on display at the Heller Nature Center in Highland Park, Illinois. I am dedicating this exhibition in honor of Sam's memory. Sam's mother Phyllis told me, "Sam loved Heller Nature Center where he enjoyed picking up leaves in the fall and being outdoors." Please help me raise money for St. Baldrick's Foundation. This remarkable organization donates 100% of its funds to Pediatric Cancer Research. I am selling my framed photographs and donating all of the proceeds to St. Baldrick's. I have included a few of the photographs below. To purchase photographs, copy and paste the link below. Photos are being sold through American Frame http://www.americanframe.com/artist/Matthew-Plofsky.aspx Thank you for buying a photo and supporting St. Baldrick's. $80 from each photo purchased will be donated to St. Baldrick's To donate directly to St. Baldrick's, click on the DONATE link on this page.
