The other day I asked to hang a St Baldrick's poster in a local business and was told a story by the director about her son who had fought a rare form of cancer. Her son Tyler was diagnosed with a form of cancer that children don't normally get and how they went to Arnold Palmer for treatment. She told about how they were going through a list of athletes and famous people who had shaved heads and thought that would help him feel better about losing his hair. When they finished their list he responded by telling them " Yes, but they all still have their eyebrows". I thought about that story for a couple days and decided that if I can raise a minimum of $2500(MY GOAL IS $5500) I will be willing to shave my eyebrows too. I will be willing to let the highest bidder shave my eyebrows off themselves if they want too. I will go all in if we can raise the funds to stomp out childhood cancer.
Did you know that 300,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.
