Celebrating 25 Years

The Bald Guy Challenge

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Task Force 89 at LAFD / LAPD Fire Station 89

Welcome to the BALD GUY CHALLENGE.   It's simple, I'm bald and shave my head nearly everyday.  So it's tough to get people to pay me money to do that.  So, if you're like me and you want to get involved, what to do?  GROW HAIR!!!  I know, we're bald, it will look TERRIBLE.  My vanity and pride couldn't take it.  That's the point.   If these children can muster the strength to fight cancer and deal with the looks and stares, well then Big Guy, we can too! The Challenge, you grow your hair and post a picture a week.  Your sponsor set aside money every week.  Reach your goal they send in the money.  I'm asking a buck a week and I'm going till St. Baldrick's 2016!!!!  That's  $52 per person, I had almost a grand committed in 24hrs, I want 10 times that amount.  $10,000 dollars. Help me get there, pledge, grow, or sponsor someone else who is.  If you're bald and can't bring yourself to do it, I want $5 a week from you!  Tell your friends, send them here and let's do some good.  Photos forthcoming,  stay tuned. Thank you, Scott

Month 10 Update:

Very much out of policy with work and length of hair.  Those who know look the other way.  Others just aren't sure what's going on.  It is in mini-mullet status.  2 more months to go, looking forward to March 12

Week 22 Update:

See below for the pictures of the dye job that raised and extra $300.

Week 18 Update:

Hat, helmethelmet, and bed head are nonstop.  Attempting the "slick back" look as it's the only thing that can keep the mange under control.

Please donate.  The summer challenge is upon us.  You bid to choose what color I dye it while on vacation.  Contact me through this website.  Current high bid is $300.

Thanks for helping, checkout the pictures below for a timeline progression.

Thanks,

Scott

Week 10 update:

To this point WE have raised $854.00.  I have many more promises, and a few auctions to go.  I anticipate $5000., easy.  June 1st will start the bidding for dying my hair.  Color choice to the highest bidder.  The hair has moved passed the annoying stage.  To me, it is still not a good look.  I am still very self conscious.  The word is getting around and new flyers will be up soon.  Thanks for all your help.

Scott

Did you know that 175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
