Eli loved Daniel Tiger, playing in the water, and had an infectious smile. On December 6, 2021, at the age of 2, he was diagnosed with high-risk T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Eli went into remission on January 18, 2022, but the cancer returned a year later.Eli endured months of treatment to prep his little body for a stem cell transplant in May 2023. His dad’s stem cells were only a 50% match, but also Eli’s best chance at survival. Things were looking good post-transplant, but as he was about to head home, Eli suffered from a slew of health issues, including fevers, parainfluenza, and fungus in his bloodstream. After a bronchoscopy, which was needed after he contracted cytomegalovirus, he ended up intubated and in the PICU and passed away 3 weeks later. ?We will always love and remember the sweet strong boy he was, our extraordinary Eli. ❤️To honor Eli's memory on his 5th birthday, we set up this fundraiser to raise money for childhood cancer research. Kids like Eli deserve to live a lifetime!
