Benicio (Benny) was one of the first to have his head shaved at his middle school's St. Baldrick's fundraiser in March 2016. He put his whole heart into helping others and was excited to be the top fundraiser in the 6th grade.
Just 11 days later, while on spring break vacation, a CT scan in the ER revealed a brain tumor that was ultimately diagnosed as Medulloblastoma. Benny completed radiation and chemotherapy and currently shows no sign of disease. Despite this victory, he suffers from debilitating and life-threatening side effects from the surgery and treatment, including radiation necrosis.
Please support Benny with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Did you know that 175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. We want to change that, so we're raising money to find cures. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids.
