This is My Beautiful Wife Lisa. I lost Lisa to Cancer in 2016. Since we lost Lisa, YOU have all stepped up and are Battling Cancer for her and in her Memory, and have raised to date OVER $387,000!! I am astounded by the number, humbled and so very grateful! My friends are literally fighting, for those who cannot fight for themselves! Words cannot express the Love that I have for each and every one of YOU!!! But, now it is time for the 2022 Runs for Lisa and We Need Your Help! We have always started our races in January and tried to run at least one race per year in Bermuda. So, here is The Plan for 2022! We need to keep our momentum going as we approach the $500,000 donation mark to St. Baldrick’s with our RUN FOR LISA! The plan this year is to Keep our January & Bermuda Momentum each, going forward! So, Mike Almskog, Christy John-Hansen & Matt Hansen & I and several other “RUN FOR LISA TEAM Members” will run in 3 Sets of events in 2022 for Lisa, in the hopes of gaining a single donation for: St. Baldrick’s & the Kids Battling Cancer. Anthony Lombardo will again supervise and maintain the bar area for post-race activities;The 3 Sets of Races for “THE RUN FOR LISA 2022” are as follows:• On January 23rd, 2022, Mike Almskog and I will Run The Icebreaker International Half Marathon at a Frigid Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, LI, NY; (There is a virtual option, if needed, so we are running 13.1 miles for Lisa regardless on 1/23/2022)! • Then, April 29nd – May 1st, 2022 I’m going to run the 3 Races in 3 Days at: The Jovia Long Island Marathon of Races: 22.4 Miles: 5K; 10K & Half Marathon• Finally, on May 28th, 2022 we plan to run the Bermuda Day Derby Half Marathon (registration opens May 1st, 2022);*For those interested in joining us, running, fundraising or spectating, I can share the links to all 3 sets of races for those who wish to run with us!
